Robert Simone was awarded the Artists’ Choice Award at 2016 Plein Air Easton’s Tighlmans Island event; second prize award at 2016 Solomons Island Plein Air Festival’s Paint the Town competition; third prize overall award at the 2016 Mountain Maryland Plein Air; and was widely invited to participate in the 2016 and 2017 Lighthouse Plein Air Festival, 2016 Palm Beach Plein Air Festival, 2016 Plein Air Easton, 2016 Finger Lakes Plein Air, Annapolis Plein Air. Mr. Simone was invited to attend the 2016 Nanatucket Artists Retreat in Maine and presented a Solo Exhibit, St. Petersburg Opera Central in late 2016.
