Mr. Larsen is a finalist of the 2014 Third Plein Air Salon sponsored by Plein Air Magazine, he has been juried into to Plein Air Easton 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 (PAE-X), is a winner at Easels in Frederick, Paint the Town-Cranford, Plein Air Vermont, New Hope/Bucks county Invitational, Finger Lakes, Adirondack Plein Air Festival and Callaway Gardens as well as the Museum Purchase award (Permanent collection) The Museum of America and the Sea at Mystic Seaport and the Salmagundi Club NYC Katlin Family Seascape award and 5 Plein Air Quick Draw wins.
Mr. Larsen’s affiliations include Oil Painters of America, American Society of Marine Artists, American Impressionist Society, Hudson Valley Art Association, Mid Atlantic Plein Air Painters Association, New York State Plein Air Painters
His work has appeared in publications including Plein Air Magazine Feb/Mar 2014, and he was named 2005 Artist of the Year Talent in Motion Magazine.
Mr. Larsen is a Professor at the Parsons New School University School of Design Strategies and an associate of The School of Fashion Design, and a film and television actor SAG-AFTRA: (Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Radio and Television Actors.
