In 2017 Sergio Lopez, a native of Sonoma County, California, was awarded Third Place at Umpqua Plein Air; the Rehs Contemporary Exhibition Award of the Art Renewal Center; the Maryhill Museum Award of Maryhill Museum; and Third Place Quick Draw at Plein Air Easton.

Sergio has twice been selected as Finalist for the Art Renewal Center’s yearly Salon. He was awarded Best of Show in Epperson Gallery’s Valona Paint Out two years in a row, and won awards at Paint San Clemente Festival; Telluride Plein Air; and Alameda Plein Air.

Professional Affiliations
Mr. Lopez is an Artist Member of the California Art Club. He also is the co-founder of the North Bay Plein Air Painters group and has been helping organize monthly paint-outs since 2009.

Sergio has been featured in American Art Collector Magazine and in Southwest Art Magazine. His female nudes have appeared in publications such as Juxtapoz, Hi-Fructose, Spectrum, Bluecanvas, and many online publications.
