In 2017, Eric Jacobsen earned Finalist in Boldbrush Fine Art Studio Online (FASO) in both August and October; Honorable mention at Rice Gallery of Fine Art Plein Air Show; and second place at Pacific Northwest Plein Air. Mr. Jacobsen participated in the American Impressionist Society Show; the American Impressionist Society Small Works Show; the Door County Plein Air Festival; Montgomery Lee Fine Art; ‘Going Places’ at Kneeland Gallery; and the Randy Higbee Gallery.

In 2018 he will exhibit in ‘Double Vision’ at the Mockingbird Gallery; the Door County Plein Air Festival; Sonoma Plein Air and Olmsted Plein Air Invitational.
