Richard has been winning awards since he began painting in 2011, after nearly 40 plus years as an architect and a renowned architectural illustrator.
Richard is a signature member of the American Impressionist Society, American Watercolor Society, National Watercolor Society, Missouri Watercolor Society, Outdoor Painters Society, Kansas Watercolor Society, President Emeritus of The American Society of Architectural Illustrators (ASAI), and Artist Faculty at the 2016 Plein Air Convention & Expo in Tucson, Arizona, and Watercolor Live 2023.
