Founder of Plein Air Easton and a primary organizer the first three years of that event, Tankersley is a signature Member of the American Impressionist Society and the Mid-Atlantic Plein Air Painters.
Nancy is a second place award winner at Plein Air Easton 2013, third place Plein Air Richmond 2013 and Gamblin Award Plein Air Richmond 2014. She is a founder of the South Street Art Gallery, Easton, Md. and the Easton Studio, hosting workshops of nationally/internationally known painters.
In 2013, Tankersely was a judge of Plein Air Salon and she has been an advisor to many start up plein air events including Plein Air Richmond, En Plein Air Texas, Mountain Maryland Plein Air, and Easels In Frederick.
