Kathy Rennell Forbes will be your instructor doing a LIVE DEMO at sunset at Gascoigne Bluff Wednesday, October 20, 5:30 - 6:45!
Bring you lounge chair and experience the thrill of watching Kathy create a painting right before your eyes!
Kathy is an accomplished artist and instructor. Her impressionistic paintings are in private and corporate collections around the world, including the French Olympic Committee in Paris, the Hotel Intercontinental in Buckhead-Atlanta, Telstra in Melbourne Australia, the Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Atlanta, Saint Joseph's Hospital of Atlanta and Universal Studios in Los Angeles.
The artist is a 2017 Olmsted Plein Air Invitational "Master Artist." She is an invited artists to the Olmsted Georgia Color plein air competition in 2019, 2020 and 2021. Kathy is a Signature Member and past President of the Georgia Watercolor Society. She has participated in many solo art shows, and has won awards in local, regional and national exhibits. Forbes earned her BFA in Art and Art Education at the University of Georgia in Athens.

SATURDAY | 6:00 - 8:30 PM | Awards Celebration | Ticketed $75 | Over a four day period, the 35 featured artists will paint throughout the Georgia Coast and select their two best works to exhibit and compete for thousands of dollars in prizes. Enjoy the company of friends, wine, food and conversation with the participating artists. The Awards Celebration offers the first opportunity to see paintings from the entire competition show. This evening bustles with excitement and sales are brisk. Attendees are able to purchase paintings in advance of the general public.

SUNDAY | 7:00 AM 12:30 PM | THE PUBLIC IS INVITED! * Grab your coffee and enjoy the sunrise, spend the morning at Musgrove Retreat and experience the thrill of watching 50+ capture the beauty of this magnificent landscape. After the 2 hour painting period, artists line up to have their one-of-a-kind works of art judged by the Georgia Color competition judge. PaintQuick™ paintings are for sale for the public to purchase. If you see something you like, buy it because everything about PaintQuick™ is quick and the exhibit is no exception. This is one of the most compelling experiences of the week. Together, artists and spectators are immersed in the creative process.
