Returning to OPAI in 2016, Nancy Tankersley’s recent awards include American Impressionist Society Annual Juried Exhibit Honorable Mention 2015; Academy Art Museum, Easton, MD Members Show Best Landscape, 2015; Door County Plein Air Quick Draw Award and Artists’ Choice Award 2015; Award winner in numerous plein air competitions including Plein Air Richmond Gamblin Award in 2014; Plein Air Easton Second Place in 2013; and Plein Air Richmond Third Place in 2013. Ms. Tankersley was invited to Judge the Plein Air Salon, October/November 2013.

Ms. Tankersley is one of the Founders of Plein Air Easton and a primary organizer for its first three years; she is Advisor to many start-up plein air events including Plein Air Richmond, En Plein Air Texas, Mountain Maryland Plein Air, and Easels In Frederick; and she is Founder of Easton Studio a workshops facility hosting nationally known painters.
