Jill Steenhuis

Returning to the Olmsted Plein Air Invitational in 2018, this Atlanta native Impressionist painter studied and lives in Aix-en-Provence, paints in the style of Cézanne, and is one of the few artists in the world who has access to the Chateau Noir, his abode.
In 2017, Jill Steenhuis took part in the Winter Park, Florida Sidewalk Art Festival; Olmsted Plein Air Invitational; Lookout Mountain Plein Air; was the celebrated speaker at St. David’s Episcopal Church Women’s Guild in Philadelphia; held 2-day workshops in Orlando, Charlottesville and Philadelphia. Her work hangs on permanent display at Sotheby’s International Gallery in Atlanta.
Ms. Steenhuis was the 2006 Cézanne specialist for the 100-year exhibition at the Smithsonian Institute and appeared on Good Morning America’s Provence feature. She lectures, stages one-woman exhibitions across the U.S. as fundraisers for non-profit organizations, holds week-long workshops, and is widely collected having sold more than 3,000 works.
