Jill Steenhuis

Jill Steenhuis, an Atlanta native Impressionist painter studied and lives in Aix-en-Provence, paints in the style of Cézanne, and is one of the few artists in the world who has access to the Chateau Noir, his abode.
Steenhuis has participated in the 2020 ‘virtual’ Olmsted Plein Air Invitational in addition to many of the previous years as well . In 2017, Steenhuis took part in the Winter Park, FL Sidewalk Art Festival; Olmsted Plein Air Invitational; Lookout Mountain Plein Air; held 2-day workshops in Orlando, Charlottesville and Philadelphia. Her work hangs on permanent display at Sotheby’s International Gallery in Atlanta.

She was the 2006 Cézanne specialist for the 100-year exhibition at the Smithsonian Institute and appeared on Good Morning America’s Provence feature. She lectures, stages one-woman exhibitions across the U.S. as fundraisers for non-profit organizations, holds week-long workshops, and is widely collected having sold more than 3,000 works.
