John Lasater IV was awarded both Best of Show and Artists’ Choice in the 2016 Easels of Frederick; and Award of Excellence at the 2016 Plein Air Southwest Salon; both Artists’ Choice and Collectors’ Choice at the 2016 Maui Plein Air; and named a Faculty and Demonstrating Artist for the 2016 Plein Air South Convention.

In 2015, his work was named Award of Excellence at Oil Painters of America National Exhibition, Plein Air Southwest Salon and Sedona Plein Air Festival; First Place in the 2015 Door County Plein Air Festival; both First Place and Artists’ Choice at the 2015 Plein Air Rockies; and he was a Speaker and Demonstrating Artist at the 2015 Plein Air Convention. He formerly worked as a designer and illustrator for Hallmark Cards.

Mr. Lasater is a member of Oil Painters of America and holds Signature memberships in Laguna Plein Air Painters Association and Outdoor Painters Society.
